Buglasan Festival 2019 - Street Dancing & Showdown

Buglasan Festival 2019 of Negros Oriental was held on October 18, 2019. Seven performing groups participated in this year’s showdown and street dancing competition. As early as 6 o’clock in the morning, people started filling up the Macias Complex to watch the showdown. Watch the video below!

Buglasan Festival 2019 – Showdown

The first festival part of the festivity was the showdown competition held at Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Complex. Hundreds and hundreds of people came to watch showdown of the Festival of Festivals in Negros Oriental. The program started a few minutes past 8 o’clock with the respective prayers and singing of the Nation Anthem and Negros Oriental Hymn.

This year’s festival is participated by 7 performing groups. The Kinaiyahan Festival of Dauin, Sandurot Festival (School Category – Asian College) of Dumaguete City, Sinulog Festival of Tanjay, Pakol Festival of Santa Catalina, Sandurot Festival (Barangay Category – Banilad), Yamog Festival of Pamplona, and the Tapasayaw Festival of Bais City.

Buglasan 2019 – Street Dancing

The showdown of the Buglasan 2019 ended by 11 o’clock in the morning…perfect for a rest and lunch break before the street dancing. The street dancing was scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon. However, for some reason it started a bit later than planned. Hundreds of people cam to watch the street dancing parade as the beautiful floats and dancers paraded and dance.
